In some Aged care homes, I play on a regular basis specifically in dementia wards and high care. They understand that I am not entertaining or doing music therapy. This is an ancient healing modality and I love the awakening and releasing I experience with so many residents. Residents respond well to the soothing sounds of the harp and sense of tranquility.
I draw on a range of well-being modalities that bring calmness and serenity. This can include, therapeutic touch, pranic healing, aromatherapy, reflexology and other ancient healing rituals.
Also personalized recordings of prescribed music.
Please refer to Rituals, Retreats and Workshops for details on relevant activities.
Heart Stories in High Care
Visiting the same residents on a regular basis is fab as I share their journey with them. Often they tell me the same stories, yet they love sitting with me and sharing as I tinker on the harp aS we connect at a soul level.
Aged Care Testimonials
Janet has a great empathy with Dementia Residents. She is able to engage with them through her abilities with the Harp and other musical instruments. They respond well with her program and the Head Nurse could not stop singing her praises.
We have no hesitation to recommend her to other Aged Care Homes

On Valentine’s Day we held a couples lunch for the marriage couples that reside here at The Boulevard.
Whilst the decorated formal dining room and lunch in itself was special, the atmosphere wouldn’t have been the same without the beautiful Janet on her harp.
Janet dressed the part in a tasteful flowing gown and heels; she played beautifully and moved around the room delicately playing her instrument between each couple. She related well to the residents and openly answered their questions about the harp and her experience. She also shared her soul music around other areas of the facility so everyone could experience the serenity.I would highly recommend Janet for any special events.
